What kind of music do you offer?

You name it, we've got it. We are able to accommodate almost any special request you have, whether it's a particular chorus from a song while you walk down the aisle, or all your favorites on repeat during cocktail hour.

Where do you perform? How about outdoors?

We perform all over Buffalo! Some popular venues we've played in include:

Please note there is a $50 travel fee per performer for travel greater than 45 minutes outside of greater Buffalo. 

We can absolutely accomodate a request to play outdoors, with a few notes: 

• Our instruments are made of delicate wood, and it will expand and contract in extreme temperatures. They also cannot get wet, or it will damage the delicate varnish that protects our instruments! Because of this, here's our expectations for outdoor gigs:

• We are only able to play outdoors in 60-85°F.

• A rain plan must be in place for your event that includes an enclosed shelter for us to play under.

What's the booking process like and what are your fees? 

The booking process is quite simple and only a few steps:

1. Consultation - we discuss the logistics of your event, including arrival, setup, and event flow. We will also discuss any song requests or necessary accommodations. This can be over phone or email.

2. Performance agreement - we each sign a brief performance agreement locking in your event day and its specifics in writing. You'll know exactly what to expect for the day of your event.

3. We show up and play! It's that simple!

When Equinox String Quartet is hired for an event, there's quite a lot that goes into your day - arranging music, rehearsal, trip planning, set up, performance, and tear down. Our wedding price packages are as follows: 

Duo (violin/viola or violin/cello) - Starting at $600

Trio (violin, viola, cello) - Starting at $900

Quartet (2 violins, viola, and cello) - Starting at $1200

With this in mind, prices are always negotiable depending on your budget. We do not want budget to stop you from enjoying your special day!
