Our chapter's "spring" show was early this year—in mid-January—but we were excited to perform in the concerts because we'd be sharing the stage with the current international quartet champs, Vocal Spectrum, and the current collegiate quartet champs, the Musical Island Boys. Since the show's theme was the music of the 1960's, we put together a great set that included Roger Miller's "King of the Road," the beautiful "Feed the Birds" (from the film Mary Poppins), and Sinatra's "That's Life.

We wanted to make a great impression and we felt we did well during all three performances, getting better with each show. Because of time considerations, we had to drop "Feed the Birds" from Friday's lineup, but we felt that the set still hung together well.

Possibly the best part of the weekend was getting to sing "When I Lift Up My Head" in a double-quartet with the Musical Island Boys at the afterglow. Those boys can rip a tag!
